Frequently asked questions
How long does printing take?
The order page tells you before you pay, for example “Ready today from about 2:30 PM”. It’s worked out from how many pages you’re printing and the orders ahead of yours, so large jobs get a later time.
Which files can I send, and how?
PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) and photos (JPG/PNG). You can upload them from your computer, scan a code to send them from your phone, paste a Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive link, pick them straight from Google Drive or email them to us with the code shown on the order page. We count the pages and spot the colour ones automatically, so there’s no need to convert anything first.
Do you deliver, or is it pickup only?
Both. Shop pickup is free. Home delivery is ₹20 within our local PIN code (226022), ₹60 elsewhere in Lucknow, and priced by distance if you’re outside Lucknow. Delivery is free on orders over ₹500. You can choose instant delivery (within 2 hours) or a delivery slot for later, and drop a pin on the map at checkout so the rider comes to the right door.
What’s the difference between color and black & white pricing?
Color pages cost more per page than black & white. You can print a file entirely in black & white, entirely in color, or use auto-detect so only the pages that actually contain color are billed at the color rate.
How do I pay, and is it secure?
Pay online by UPI, card and more through Razorpay or Cashfree (we never see or store your card or bank details), or choose to pay when you collect or when it’s delivered, in cash or by UPI. Your invoice is on your tracking page once the order is done.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Every order comes with a tracking link showing each step, from printing to ready or on its way. While it’s out for delivery the page can also show where your rider is on the map. Add Metalix Print to your home screen to get a notification at each step. No account needed.
Do you print passport and visa photos?
Yes, in these sizes: Standard, Indian Passport, US Visa, UK Visa and Schengen Visa. Upload a photo or take one on your phone: we centre your face automatically and can make the background plain white, right on your own device. Choose how many you need, then collect them or get them delivered.
What if something’s wrong with my print?
Report it within 24 hours of pickup or delivery by calling or WhatsApp-ing us. If we made a mistake, we reprint it free; if the issue is with the uploaded file, we can offer a paid reprint.
What happens to my files?
We use them only to print your order. They’re deleted automatically 3 days after the order is completed, and files that never become an order are deleted within 2 days.
