How Online Printing With Home Delivery Works in Lucknow

Most people still think of printing as a trip: find a shop, wait in line, hope the guy behind the counter reads your instructions correctly, pay in cash, walk back out. In Lucknow, that trip usually costs you 30–45 minutes you didn't need to spend.

Metalix Print exists to cut that trip out entirely. Here's exactly what happens between uploading a file and a stack of printed pages showing up at your door.

1. Upload your file

PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), or PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) — drop it in as-is. There's no need to convert or "print to PDF" first; we handle the conversion server-side and show you an accurate page count and color/black-and-white breakdown before you pay anything.

2. Choose your settings, per file

Every file in your order can have its own settings:

• Color or black & white — or let us auto-detect which pages actually have color on them, so you're not paying color rates for a mostly-text document with one chart on page 4.
• Single-sided or double-sided
• Paper type
• Copies

You see the price update live as you change these, so there's no surprise total at checkout.

3. Pick pickup or delivery

Pickup at the shop is free. Home delivery is ₹20 within our own PIN code and ₹60 elsewhere in Lucknow, regardless of how many pages you're printing — and free on orders over ₹500. If your PIN code falls outside our delivery zone, we'll reach out to arrange pickup instead and refund the delivery charge — no back-and-forth needed on your end.

4. Pay and track

Once payment goes through, your order moves into our print queue immediately. You get a tracking link (also usable to check status without creating an account) so you can see exactly where your order is — queued, printing, or out for delivery — instead of calling to ask.

5. It shows up

Most standard orders under 100 pages are ready within 3–4 hours of payment confirmation. Bulk orders — 100+ pages, or many copies of the same file — take a bit longer, and we'll give you a realistic estimate at checkout rather than a generic promise.

Who this is actually useful for

• Students printing assignments or reports the night before, without a working printer at home.
• Job seekers who need a clean, correctly formatted resume printed without wrestling a home inkjet.
• Small offices that don't want to own and maintain a printer for occasional bulk jobs.
• Anyone who has ever opened a print dialog, watched the margins shift, and given up.

A tip for a clean result

The single biggest cause of a print job looking "off" is a file exported at the wrong page size or with auto-scaling left on. Before uploading, it's worth a 10-second check that your document is set to A4 in its original app — what you see in our page-count preview is what gets printed, so if something looks wrong there, it's worth fixing in the source file first.
